Remember, advancement within the band system hinges on a combination of experience, training, and clinical hours, making these factors crucial for HCA staff across the UK. It's important to note that a Band 2 HCA typically has less experience than a Band 3 HCA.

  3. Medication administration: Band 3 HCAs must be certified to administer medications.

  4. Moving and handling training certification.

  5. Life support training.
