Just Contact Your GP Practice - Lung Cancer Awareness

The NHS has advised in their recent campaign that anyone who has been experiencing a nagging cough for three weeks or more should consult their GP.

Many have been cautious to visit their GP as they are afraid to contract the virus. The NHS has increased patient safety measurements at all GPs or healthcare practices, so that patients can feel at ease to receive cancer diagnosis.

Book your consultation with your GP as soon as possible, as early detection can increase the effectiveness of the treatment.

Early signs & symptoms:

  • Chest infections that keep coming back

  •  Coughing up blood

  •  A long-standing cough that gets worse

  • An ache or pain when breathing or coughing

  • Persistent breathlessness

  • Persistent tiredness or lack of energy

  • Loss of appetite or unexplained weight loss
